US Coast Guard Inspection Complete - November 2020

Many thanks to US Coast Guard - Lake Worth for another successful topside and hull inspection! We had to reschedule several times d/t local COVID restrictions. But we’re officially ready for Palm Beach winter season!

It starts with lots and lots of paperwork. Documentation, registration, licenses, certificates, substance abuse and drug testing policies, procedures and program materials, vessel inspection checklists, logs, forms etc. — It starts with lots and lots of paperwork. Systems that get an extra look include fire. We have a fixed extinguishing system custom designed for the boat. Portable extinguishers onboard. Just in case. Fuel tank connections and emergency shut off valves, blower/venting system and fuel vapor detection system in this compartment are on the checklist too. We carry 135 gals in one tank. Checking ring buoy is in good shape, the strobe light works and the battery is valid are on USCG’s checklist too. Inflation / deflation valve. Each of the tube sections has one of these plus an emergency pressure relief valve. And if all that checks out, plus bilges, float switches, high water alarms, nav and anchor lights, VHF radios, EPIRB tests and more, we walk away with one of these.
